Our challenging lifestyle and commonly available high calorie, over processed foods have made it difficult for most
of us to maintain a healthy body weight. Today, more than 60 percent of people in developed countries are
overweight, half of whom are obese.
The effects on our lives are shocking! The list includes shortened lifespan, diabetes, cardiovascular (heart)
disease, lowered self-esteem and body satisfaction (social pressures), eating disorders, cancer, respiratory
problems, and joint, arthritis pain. Scientists have now confirmed that carrying even a few extra pounds can have
frightening consequences.
The best solution is a program that promotes a well-balanced, healthy diet, with lots of fruits, vegetables, whole
grains, with minimal refined food. FAD DIETS DO NOT WORK! You want a weight management program that will not only
help you lose weight, but also maintain it. Once you lose weight you’ll have more energy and everyday tasks will
become much easier.
