Chinese Herbs Triumph in History

From the dawn of the human civilization the quest of human beings for an alternative notion of medicine has been endless. In this respect the herbs and its application in various aspects has been most prominent, that dates back to centuries ago.

On the other hand, though it became known in the domain of Europe a great of number of centuries ago, but the earliest history is related with China where the using of herbs had its commencement between 800 and 200 BC with the publication of Huang Di Nei Jing. The Huang Di Nei Jing happens to be the Classic of Internal Medicine of the Yellow Emperor.

It was also during the same period when an assortment of 28 separate herbs of Chinese origin were discovered, that were known to have great healing power, and it is to be noted that the application of many of these are still in existence, even in the present age. The saga that continued from this period went on in a triumphant manner through the succeeding ages, considered to be the only way of curing the common people. However, by around 500 AD, the Chinese herbs were found to be sorted into a classification system that became instrumental in the gradual course by helping to guide their use depending on the particular situation.

The herbs were classified into three groups.

The superior herbs were used with the sole intention to maintain health, in the same way as we are accustomed with the use of herbal and vitamin supplements in our days, for instance the Chinese herbs and azoospermia; middle herbs were used for the treatment of illness while the inferior herbs were meant for the curing of ordinary diseases. We shall have to keep in mind tat through ages; the Chinese herbs have been credited with successfully treating everything from acne to infertility. But from the earliest period till date, it has been advised that the Chinese herbs should be used along with education and preparedness.
