Many people may be surprised to learn that nutrition and our sex lives are closely linked and it has nothing to
do with chocolate!
In fact, both decreased sexual performance and infertility are on the increase due to our toxic environment, poor
nutritional habits and excess stress all lifestyle factors that are, to a certain degree, within our control.
Improving our diet, limiting our exposure to toxic chemicals and supplementing with vitamins, minerals and herbs
can greatly enhance both our sexual performance as well as our fertility.
Throughout the world, many cultures use native plants and herbal extracts to enhance sexual desire and energy
levels. Botanicals such as Catuaba, Maca, Muira Puama, Epemedium, Grandiflorum, and Tribulus Terrestris have
been traditionally used to support the male system. Dong Quai, Black Cohosh, Red Raspberry, Red Clover, and
Cranberry help support and balance the female reproductive system, including hormonal levels.
The natural process of reproduction has become much more complex and difficult than in the past. Today, more and
more couples are seeking fertility treatments in order to have a family. According to the American Infertility
Association it is estimated that 10% of couples in the U.S are infertile by definition. Lower sperm counts are
also being reported in men throughout the world the blame seems to be, in part, on the increase of toxic and
hormone active chemicals in the environment.
The result is that many people turn to medication and other invasive therapies, when lifestyle changes and natural
products may be all that is required to improve male and female systems. Its certainly worth trying before
anything else.
