Using Herbs to Treat Warts.
If you were to ask a medical professional they would tell you that warts are a form of benign tumor
that affects the epidermal layer. They would tell you that warts are caused by a virus called human
papillomavirus, a double stranded DNA virus. They would say that some warts, if given enough time, will
go away on their own, and that other warts won't. They will tell you that warts can affect any part of the
body that has skin, including the inside of your mouth.
The reality is that most of us don't care what a wart is. The only thing we care about is that we have one, that it's ugly, and that we want it gone.
Traditionally the best way to remove warts was to go to the doctor's office and have them freeze the warts off. This treatment seemed to be fairly affective although some particularly stubborn wars would require repeat treatments. Now there are herbs and herbal remedies we can use to save ourselves that trip to the doctors.
Garlic is one of the herbs that can help eliminate warts. All you have to do is cut a slice from the garlic lobe. Use a band-aid to fasten the slice of garlic onto the wart. Wear the piece of garlic overnight. The reason the garlic works is because it has antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial properties. There have been studies done that show a liquid extract made from garlic is another successful way to deal with the unsightly warts.
If you like the idea of using a food commonly used in the kitchen to cure your warts but aren't crazy about smelling like garlic you may want to turn to bananas. People with warts have been able treat their warts by rubbing the inside of a banana peel against the wart.
Rubbing the juice from a plant called Celandine is another herbal remedy that can be used to treat warts. When using Celandine exercise caution, the juice is toxic.
Tea Tree is another herb that will help deal with warts.
